ABOUT KRISTYN ASHLEY
Hello! My name is Kristyn Ashley and I am a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and painter born and raised in Southern California! I work traditionally in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, and Gouache. Portrait paintings are what I know and love, but experimenting within my mediums has brought me a lot of joy. Within the last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have started doing small group paint night instruction and portrait commissions.
Ever since I was in college I began to use art as a means for connection and a way to understand how humanity seeks to and fails to connect with each other. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in studio art. Most of my upbringing in graphic design has been grounded in ministry work; a service that I devoted myself to for the past decade while I was a publicity advisor and catechist at Holy Family. Turning towards freelance and my own personal art as my profession has been gratifying and challenging for me. It's a profession I take great pride in.
