About Kristyn Ashley
Hello!
My name is Kristyn Ashley and I am a freelance graphic designer and illustrator based in Los Angeles.
Ever since I was in college I began to use art as a means for connection and a way to understand how humanity seeks to and fails to connect with each other. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in studio art. Turning towards freelance and my own personal art as my profession has been gratifying and challenging for me.
Graphic Design has always felt like connection; where art and communication meet. My studio art background is grounded in my love for illustration. When I’m not working digitally, I am a painter through and through. I work traditionally in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, and Gouache. Portrait paintings are what I know and love, but experimenting within my mediums has brought me a lot of joy. Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, I even started leading on-the-go paint nights.
