I started drawing portraits when I was in high school. When I entered college, my favorite subject to draw or paint was people. Coming out of my art education, I learned and honed my use of oil painting. It was very important to me to keep portrait painting an integral part of my craft. Spending the time and energy with the subjects that I am painting creates a connection and process that I value deeply. You’re investing in something meaninful. I consider portraits to be deeply personal and I understand that they can take a long time to create, but the product is something unique that will hopefully last through the generations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (PNT: PAINTINGS // ILL: ILLUSTRATIONS)

Do you typically work from life? or photo references?
PNT: I normally work from a combination of photographs and life reference. Due to COVID, I only am working from photo references.
ILL: It depends on the subject upon further discussion. Photos and inspiration may be necessary to continue the illustration

Will my portrait be photo realistic?
PNT: My paintings are not meant to be completely photo realistic, but will capture the likeness of your loved ones. After all, paintings are not photographs.
ILL: No. These will be drawn in my style.

Can I send you my photos and due date now?
PNT & ILL: Please press the “Request More Information” button (if available) and simply press send! Do not send me photo references or due dates in the initial email. Please follow along with the dialogue on the email and I will get back to you shortly with more details. I cannot accomodate any projects requested during my “CLOSED” periods.

What is the process of the piece?
PNT:All inquiries will be met with an email thread followed by a video consultation with me going further into explaining. To begin the process, a video consultation is required between me and those purchasing a piece.
ILL: All inquiries will be met with an email thread. Phone call or video chat may be necessary.

Do you have a price list? What are your rates?
Pricing and rates will only be disclosed in email and/or video consultation.
